Lego Robotics

Join the exciting world of robotics, innovation, and teamwork in our competitive FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics Team. This is more than just an afterschool club — it’s a high-energy, hands-on experience where students design, build, and program LEGO robots, while also pursuing real-world solutions connected to this season’s theme, UNEARTHED™. Students will explore how to identify a problem faced by archaeologists and create an innovative solution that blends history, science, and modern technology.

All experience levels are welcome, whether you’re new to robotics or an experienced builder. Alongside coding and engineering, team members will dive into research, creative design, marketing, and public speaking as they prepare for official FLL competitions.

This is a competitive team, and participation requires a strong commitment from both students and families. Weekly afterschool practices are mandatory. Weekend practices will also be scheduled in advance and shared with families. The season includes 2+ weekend tournaments, and attendance at all is required. Students and families will receive a team contract outlining expectations, to be signed before the season begins.

As part of the team, members will:

Build and program LEGO robots to complete complex missions

Develop branding, strategy, and project presentations

Research and design an innovative solution for the UNEARTHED™ theme

Strengthen problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
